Biographical Sketch:
Chiehwen Ed Hsu, PhD, MPH is Associate Professor of the University of Texas School of Health Information Sciences specialized in Public Health Informatics. He serves as Director of the UTHSC Laboratory of Preventive Health Informatics and SpaTial Analysis. He directs UT Houston MPH/PhD, MPH/MS Dual Degree Programs and a joint graduate program in Public Health Informatics jointly offered by SHIS and UTSPH. His research focuses on applying informatics solutions, including spatial and temporal methods, geographic information systems, epidemiology and survey/focus group techniques in the research of health disparities, minority health, and public health preparedness and responses.
