Biographical Sketch:
Lisa Ferland, MPH, Biographical Sketch Mrs. Lisa Ferland is a Senior Research Analyst with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Master’s of Public Health degree in 2007 from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Mrs. Ferland’s professional accomplishments for CSTE include: • Developing new quantitative indicators for measuring epidemiology capacity; • Assessing epidemiology capacity within state and local health departments; • Assessing the US epidemiology capacity to meet the International Health Regulations; • Evaluating and measuring public health informatics capacity within the states; • Assessing national policy issues and their effects on state surveillance practices. Mrs. Ferland continues to work actively in epidemiology workforce evaluation, surveillance, and public health informatics.
