Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Shegog is an assistant professor at the University of Texas School of Public Health and Associate Director of Communication and Dissemination at the University of Texas Prevention Research Center. His principal research interest is in the application of health communication technology in health promotion and disease prevention for adolescent populations. Most recent and current projects include the development of an Internet-based HIV, STI, and pregnancy prevention curricula for middle school children in Texas and for American Indian and Alaska Native youth, clinic-based PDA decision support for epilepsy management, and clinic-based self-management skills training for HIV+ youth.
