Biographical Sketch:
Gary W. Harper, Ph.D., M.P.H. is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Director of the Master of Public Health Program at DePaul University in Chicago. He is also a member of the Behavioral Leadership Group within the National Institutes of Health’s Adolescent Medicine Trials Network for HIV/AIDS Interventions, and a member of the National Institutes of Health’s Office on AIDS Research Advisory Council. Dr. Harper is currently conducting several multi-site studies examining the intersection of multiple identities among both HIV positive and HIV negative gay/bisexual male adolescents. Dr. Harper also works collaboratively with several urban community-based organizations in Chicago that provide sexual health promotion services and social support programs to gay and bisexual Latino and African American male adolescents.
