Biographical Sketch: Wendy Opsahl is the Communications Director for Atlas Research, a strategic health care management consulting firm in Washington, DC. She manages a portfolio of projects ranging from strategic marketing to communications services and social media, and has experience working with rural populations across the US.
Ms. Opsahl previously served as communications director for the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She has been involved with a number of federal projects focused on building information dissemination capacity for health research.
She is active with the National Rural Health Association and AcademyHealth, and was named a 2010 AcademyHealth Hersh Scholar.
Ms. Opsahl is finishing a PhD in educational leadership with a research focus on academic health research dissemination. She holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in communications from the University of North Dakota.
