Biographical Sketch: Taraneh Salke is the founder and CEO of Family Health Alliance (FHA). FHA is a non-profit organization focused on the advancement of women’s reproductive health and rights in resource-poor environments. Ms Salke holds a MPH degree from UCLA and specializes in reproductive health and training post-conflict populations. She is also a trained anthropologist with more than 10 years of experience in working in Muslim societies and has used her knowledge and experience in designing and implementing culturally appropriate international health training programs. She has personally conducted over 30 workshops for female and male health professionals in Afghanistan in the last 7 years. She lectures at several universities in California.
