Biographical Sketch:
Barbara Rawlins, MPH, is a public health professional with 15 years of experience in program monitoring, evaluation and operations research pertaining to family planning, reproductive health and maternal and child health programs in developing countries. She spent two years living and working in India and two years with the Peace Corps in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), and has worked throughout sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Ms. Rawlins has worked for Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, for the past 10 years. Currently, she serves as the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for USAID's global Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program (MCHIP). In this capacity, Ms. Rawlins provides leadership and strategic guidance on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for the MCHIP, which is implemented by of a consortium of agencies led by Jhpiego. Ms. Rawlins holds an MPH in Maternal and Child Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA from Wellesley College. She also completed a two-year postgraduate fellowship with USAID's Population-Environment Fellows Program.
