Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Heather Wipfli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the USC/Keck School of Medicine and the Associate Director of the USC Institute for Global Health. Her research focuses on global health politics and on developing multi-national research protocols. Dr. Wipfli has published work on global tobacco control, policy diffusion, capacity building in developing countries, globalization and health, and health security. She has also lead a number of large, multi-country research and capacity building projects, which resulted in policy change at the local and national level as well as global policy recommendations by the World Health Organization.
