Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am MD, MSc (Epidemiology) and PhD (candidate) in International Nutrition (Tufts University). I ´ve been working in research/teaching at the National Institute of Public Health in Cuernavaca, Mexico for 13 years -Division of Nutrition and Health-. Currently I am the PI of a research project which deals with the effect of migration to the US in diet and physical activity patterns in Mexican school-age children. Previous work and peer-reviewed publications are related to the effects and acceptability of nutritional supplements for children, dietary patterns, micronutrient deficiencies, determinants of breastfeeding, childhood and adult obesity, nutritional immunity, and nutrition-related chronic diseases, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease and dyslipidemia.
