Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Bio 3 As Associate Dean for Applied Public Health in the Rollins School of Public Health, I was the driving force behind the RSPH’s involvement in the Georgia INPHO project and the creation of the Southeastern Institute for Training and Evaluation, Graduate Certificate Program, and Career MPH program. In addition to the as an Associate Dean, I am an Associate Professor and the former Coordinator of the Health Promotion and Education program in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Health Education at the Rollins School of Public Health. I have nearly 40 years of experience in the education and human service field. She served as the founding director of the HRSA-funded AIDS Education and Training Center. I have been an active member of the public health profession. I was the 1996-97 president of the Georgia Public Health Association and the 1994-95 chair of the Public Health Education and Health Promotion Section of the American Public Health Association. I was elected to the executive board of the American Association for Health Education (AAHE); served on the Competency Update Project in health education; and co-chaired; the Joint Health Education Terminology Committee sponsored by AAHE. I was the 2000-2002 president of the Council on Education for Public Health (the accrediting body for schools of public health). I currently serve on the SOPHE/AAHE joint accreditation task force.
