This session will challenge participants to conceptualize pregnancy care outside of the parameters of traditional prenatal care by explaining the life course perspective, describing the influence of preconception and interconception factors on pregnancy, and presenting healthy pregnancy intervention strategies that occur outside the context of traditional prenatal care.
Session Objectives: 1. Explain the life course perspective
2. Describe the influence of preconception and interconception factors on pregnancy
3. Identify preconception and interconception-focused intervention strategies for promoting healthy pregnancy
