This session will include current rates and trends in racial/ethnic disparities in perinatal outcomes, present innovative behavioral and policy-based intervention strategies for reducing such disparities, and describe strategies for convening a diverse cross-section of professionals for addressing this public health problem.
Session Objectives: 1. Describe the persistent racial/ethnic disparity in adverse birth outcomes 2. Identify behavioral and policy-based intervention strategies for addressing racial/ethnic disparities in perinatal outcomes 3. List different strategies for establishing effective multidisciplinary partnerships for addressing racial/ethnic disparities in perinatal outcomes
