Measuring the impact of disease on a global scale is a unique challenge; Reducing this burden is also challenging. This session will explore important aspects of meeting this challenge through the eyes of several national and international figures who work to meet this effort every day.
Session Objectives: Define disease burden. Describe ways to approach the reduction of disease burden through a population approach. Give three examples of successful models of this approach. Understand the role universal coverage plays in health protection in Taiwan.
