This session will present information on reducing health disparities by increasing diversity in clinical trials. In particular, the primary focus is on clinical trials for cancer prevention and treatment. Additionally, the National Cancer Institute’s Community Network Programs for reducing cancer health disparities will be highlighted.
Session Objectives: 1. Develop sensitivity to cultural issues with clients' participation in cancer trials. 2. Learn effective strategies for Community Network Program implementation.
