The MAPP Workshop will provide an interactive forum for learning about the Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) process. Participants will learn why MAPP advances public health practice through community organizing, strategic planning, and systems change. Through table top exercises and group discussion, participants will gain an understanding of the competencies and skills, such as facilitation, dialogue and partnership building, which are essential to successful MAPP implementation. The workshop will also address common challenges and strategies for overcoming obstacles often experienced by MAPP communities.
