Healthy People 2010 underscores the need for every public health program to have health professionals who are competent to assess and respond to community identified health care needs. Support for continuing education as a means to develop competencies in the identified essential public health services such as environmental health will be discussed. This session is devoted to Applied Epidemiology for Public Health Nurses. Global warming is the focus of this interactive presentation.
Session Objectives: Describe teaching content methodology for a continuing education online course format in Epidemiology. Discuss teaching content methodology for a face-to-face continuing education course in Epidemiology.
