Monday, October 27, 2008: 6:30 PM
Oral
Public health nursing faces challenges in practice, education, research and policy that threaten the ability of the profession to improve the health of the public. The Quad Council Learning Institute serves as the springboard for identifying these issues and the PHN Town Hall provides a forum for PHNs to explore the impact of current public health nursing issues on the health of the public. PHNs from around the nation come together to collaborate with one another to develop an action plan for the specialty, including strategies to reduce the impact on the health of the public and strengthen local, regional and national partnerships.
Session Objectives: Following the Public Health Nursing Town Hall, participants will: 1. Discuss local, regional and national impact of current public health nursing issues. 2. Collaborate with others in practice, education, research and policy to develop an action plan to address current public health nursing issues.
