The purpose of this presentation is to identify and review the type of data collected by the Division of Vital Statistics of the National Center for Health Statistics. Participants will also learn ways of applying the collected data to their individual research interests.

Learning Objectives:
List one example of the type of data collected from each of the major NCHS data systems. Describe one way that NCHS makes vital statistics information available to data users. Identify one example of a question that can be addressed with vital statistics data.
