The purpose of this presentation is to identify and review the methods for accessing data collecdted by the National Center for Health Statistics. Participants will also learn ways of applying the collected data to their individual research interests.

Learning Objectives:
1. List one example of the type of data collected from each of the major NCHS data systems. 2. Describe three ways that NCHS makes information available to data users 3. Identify two examples of NCHS data access tools.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I direct the data dissemination program at the National Center for Health Statistics. In this role, I manage a wide range of activities to meet the needs of health data users. Also, I have many years of experience developing and presenting resources to aid users in accessing and using health statistics data.
