Mark Marosits, MSHA , Worldways Social Marketing, Greenwood Village, CO
The overarching course of which this abstract is a part provides a comprehensive learning experience about social media and interactive technology for public health professionals. This portion of the course is practical and skills oriented, with a focus on planning process, tools and skills and evaluation process and method. Field-proven case studies will illustrate the value of the 10 step planning model that will be taught. This model will be illustrated using examples in the areas of childhood obesity, unintended pregnancy and other public health issues. The 10 Step Process that will be shared is an important takeaway tool that participants can immediately employ for their own programs or initiatives. The Process will be explained, and participants will have the opportunity for dialogue and application of the process.

The evaluation methods, analytics and tools that will be shared represent best practices inside and outside of public health and healthcare. The strengths and weaknesses of alternative evaluation approaches will be compared. Participants will learn how to gain access to free or low cost analytics that can be immediately employed, and how to structure an analytic approach that makes sense in what is still a dynamic evaluation environment.

Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate the ability to apply a social media planning process to your program or initiative. Apply social media evaluation tools to your program or initiative.
