207024 Expanding maternal and child health care services in developing countries: Advances and challenges

This panel will present examples of Maternal and Child Health programs in developing countries, progress that they have made, and challenges that they currently face in expanding services. The four speakers on this panel will present on their experiences with programs to increase access to skilled deliveries and to syphilis treatment and prevention in Haiti, a partnership with the Ministry of Health in Timor-Leste to strengthen the MCH department in that country, and to provide breastfeeding support to new mothers. Panelists will provide recommendations and outline current needs for expanding MCH services internationally.
