Appropriate information systems play a critical role in the ability to perform routine financial analysis. In this session, benefits accruing from the Florida Department of Health integrated financial information system will be highlighted.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have worked in Public Health Finance and Administration since 1985. I was the Finance & Accounting Director of a local health department for 16 years; implemented and directed the development of a statewide financial reporting system for the Florida Department of Health (reported on approximately $700 M). Currently I am the director of the Administrative Services Field Support Team which trains and provides technical assistance to 67 county health departments on budget, financial matters, and sdministrative operational activities.
