This presentation will discuss the problems of achieving real input from health care workers in the current policy and collective bargaining environment and make recommendations for improving the integration of the collective voice of health care workers into the design and implementation of HIT at all levels, from federal government policy down to individual workplace implementation.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the interests of those involved in the design and implementation of HIT. 2. Examine and evaluate different models of "involvement" of health care workers in HIT design and implementation and understand the importance of a strong collective/union voice.
