Throughout the policy process, communication strategies are used to frame and reframe messages that support the advocacy agenda. Each type of media outlet requires unique story elements to effectively convey the message.

Presenting author's disclosure statement:Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Health Behanior and Health Education at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. I have taught graduate courses in Program Planning and Evaluation and Program Management, tow of the required courses for the MPH students in the Department. I am currently helping develop competencies and curriculum for training the public health workforce on policy, environmental and systems-change solution for public health problems.
