LEND training programs improve the health of infants, children, and adolescents with disabilities. Pressure for greater accountability and evidence-based practice in health care require leaders in all disciplines to have multidisciplinary training. This presentation will show how leadership training to successfully work with children (and their families) who have neurodevelopmental disabilities enhances interdisciplinary system-wide solutions, facilitates the provision of culturally sensitive services and develops skills in planning and implementing interventions in family, organizational, and community settings. Health administration competencies will be presented and their applicability to health care providers will be delineated. Through this presentation attendees will understand how LEND training programs bridge the perspectives of clinicians and health care administrators, as well as those between clinicians of different disciplines.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify sites with programs designed to improve the health outcomes for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. 2. Discuss effective multidisciplinary training programs and innovative practice models. 3. Identify options for collaborating with local LEND programs. 4. Discuss how LEND training programs bridge the perspectives of clinicians and health care administrators, as well as those between clinicians of different disciplines.
