Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I currently serve as the Director, Division of Epidemiology, at the Centers for Drug Evaluation and Research. I direct all postmarketing epidemilogical assessment of drug safety and supervise a team of about 30 professionals. I am a phsician with CDC training in EIS and with a residency in Preventive Medicine and a masters in public Health. My professional experience includes 13 years of service at the CDC in Atlanta directing the infant health program. I have publised many papers on SIDS, infant health outcomes, racial and ethnic disparities in pregnancy and infant outcomes. For the past 7 years, I have been with the FDA, first with Pediatric Drug Develpment Program and for the past three years with the Office of surviellance and epidemiology at FDA. I coordinate the Drug Safety Seminars at FDA as well as advance courses in epidemiology at the FDA. I have presented or organized sessions at APHA and ISPE and other major national meetings.
