Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I earned my Master's Degree in Public Health from San Diego State University. My master’s thesis, “Measuring Salt Consumption to Guide Behavior Change in Applied Settings: A Critical Review” was published in the American Journal of Health Promotion in November of 2008. I am a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience in various health care settings such as critical coronary care, school health (K–12), occupational health, cardiovascular research, and quality improvement / health education. Since 2005, I have served as the Quality Improvement Coordinator for Sharp Health Plan, a regional not-for-profit managed care plan within a large integrated health system. I have been an active participant in the San Diego Child Obesity Initiative for many years and have been a presenter at APHA meetings.
