Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Chris Hafner-Eaton, PhD, MPH, NDc (APHA member since 1986) serves as a Health Science Policy Analyst for the National Institutes of Health at the National Institute of Nursing Research since June 2009. Prior to her current post, for three years she was a Public Health Officer in the Dominican Republic for a private non-profit orphanage network and poor rural province. For the two decades prior, she conducted original Health Services Research and Policy Analysis via her private consulting firm and also while on the faculty of several universities and colleges. She has authored publications and conducted research in: Health Disparities, Access to Health Care, Women’s Health, Long-Term-Care, Lactation, Quality Improvement in Health, and Educating Professionals. Dr. Hafner-Eaton earned both her PhD in Public Health with Health Services Research and Policy Analysis and MPH in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from the UCLA School of Public Health.
