Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am currently a research associate at the Howard University Cancer Center and National Human Genome Center, where I am conducting genetic epidemiological studies of prostate and breast cancer in African Americans. I have a PhD in Tumor Biology and have had formal training in public health (Johns Hopkins Bloomberg school of public health). My interests are in public health genomics and its applications for the prevention, management, and treatment of disease. Additionally, I have 3 publications under review in "the Prostate," "Breast Cancer Research," and "Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers, and Prevention." I have also presented my work at the American Society for Human Genetics and American Association for Cancer Research annual conferences. In January of 2009, I organized and coordinated a symposium on the "1000 Genomes Project: On the Frontier of Personalized medicine" at the National Human Genome Center at Howard University.
