This session will provide examples of research, policy, law, licensing and advocacy strategies that public health can use to ensure that health concerns are addressed within the trade policy environment.
Session Objectives: By the end of this session participants will be able to: 1. Describe several strategies to ensure that health needs are addressed in global trade, particularly related to trade policies. 2. Describe why research is needed to understand the effects of trade policy on health and what type of policy research is needed to ensure health concerns are incorporated.
