This session, specifically targeted toward beginning public health professionals and public health students, examines career possibilities and trajectories in the fields of population, reproductive health, and sexual health. The discussants will speak from both domestic and international perspectives on roles and career opportunities in academia, government, and non-governmental organizations. Co-sponsored by the APHA Student Assembly.
Session Objectives: 1. Discuss the role of the public health professional in the fields of population, demography, reproductive health for men and women, and the promotion of sexual health across the life span. 2. Explore career paths and trajectories in the above fields, particularly focusing on the beginning public health professional and students of public health disciplines.
