3400.0 Film & Technology Session - IH 03: Three Videos

Monday, November 9, 2009: 4:30 PM
Oral

Introductory Remarks
Weather Report. 30:00 minutes. A report from the front lines of climate change in Kenya, India, Canada, the Arctic, China, and Montana, where people’s lives have already been dramatically altered
Good Food. 30:00 minutes. An intimate look at the farmers, ranchers, and businesses that are creating a more sustainable food system in the Pacific Northwest
Castro or Quit. 30:00 minutes. Like many of their friends, young doctors Yurani and Florencio like to think of themselves as wanting to care for the poor as much as the rich. They even approve of many of Chavez's policies, believing they've helped the poor. But now they believe Chavez may have gone too far. They think the Chavistas pose the middle class with a fundamental choice: help us model the country on Castro's Cuba, or quit before it's too late. Two young doctors in Venezuela have to decide whether to leave the country or stay with their patients
