Participants will be introduced to a variety of existing online communities of researchers and practitioners who are using social media in their work. Participants will also learn how to use social media to increase their own networks with professional colleagues.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am working extensively with information technology and public health (including social media, web 2.0 tools, and information retrieval systems), and I also have experience in organizing and coordination continuing education classes for health professionals. Additionally, I have taught successful courses on finding evidence-based public health information online and using web 2.0 technologies to increase the effectiveness of individuals and organizations.
