Paul Kadetz, PhD, MSN, MPH , Department of International Development, University of Oxford, Oxford, United Kingdom
The Western Pacific Region Office (WPRO) of the World Health Organization has recently re-evaluated its 2002-2010 strategies and objectives for Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) for Western Pacific Region Member States. This evaluation was conducted utilising a new assessment tool seeking evidence-based data on the current state of TCAM in WPRO Member States.

This study will assess the appropriateness of this survey and the subsequent findings that formed the 2010-2015 WPRO strategy report. Assessments of the appropriateness of these policy changes for WPRO Member States will be offered. Specific emphasis will be placed on the marked changes from former strategies especially as a result in the problematisation of the WHO typology of TCAM integration in the 2010-2015 WPRO strategy report.
