This year's session will continue the tradition of the past decade of APHA meetings, where members discuss current issues surrounding injury and emergency health data. Topics for this year's Data Roundtable include updates on:

·         WISQARS Cost of Injury Module

·         efforts to improve external cause of injury (E Coding) in state morbidity data systems

·         ICD – 11 External cause coding revision process: structure and code sets

·         the STIPDA Injury Surveillance workgroup (ISW 7) efforts towards defining poisonings

·         changes in the mechanism of injury for presence on admission (POA) coding

·         Data use/exchange limitations and permissions related to the paperwork reduction act, HIPAA, and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

At the conclusion of this session participants will be able to 1. utilze the WISQARS system and to obtrain data. 2. discuss the importance of pressent on admission codes. 3. list current issues in international injury data
