The Georgia iProgress Check System is a web-based electronic data system developed by the Georgia Division of Public Health, which is designed for the population-based health promotion and disease prevention programs that are funded by state office and implemented in community by local health department. The system has five functions: State Work Plan Builder – For state user to provide state level program work plan guidance; District Work Plan builder – For district user to build their own program workplan, that fits local capacity and resources, and reflects program Objectives, Strategies, and Outcome Indicators outlined in the state workplan, as well as detailed program Action steps, Key impact Area, Risk Factors, Domain, Population Key Stakeholders; District Progress Check – For district user to enter program activities, progress, success stories and accomplishments towards workplan implementation; State Administrative Progress Check – For state user to enter state level administrative activities, such as general supervision, fiscal supervision, technical assistance, and other program activities led by state staff; Dynamic Query Reporting – For both state and local staff to generate report through a dynamic query function.

Overall the iProgress Check System is a data collection tool for monitoring and tracking the pragmatic progress of community level activities, it can lead to identifying the effective practices utilized by community practitioners to achieve positive policy adn environmental changes. It reflects the state's commitment to integration, coordination, and collaboration across and among all programs and services in the field of health promotion and disease prevention. It allows health district staff to identify areas in which technical assistance, training, and resources are needed within the communities. It also promotes data-driven planning, performance-drive decision making approaches. It will lead to advocacy for more resources and the development of more effective strategies towards community mobilization and capacity building.

This session will describe the development and implementation process of the Georgia iProgress Check System and present how it is beneficial to monitoring and tracking the programmatic progress and performance of the organization and funded grantees, to actively guiding data-driven, result-driven decision-making; as well as demonstrate how the system is beneficial to local and state level collaboration and the identification of best practice strategies in the local community.
