Health Information Technologies offer significant promise for enhancing clinical interventions and improving healthcare disparities. While much of the promise has been based on speculation and theory, a few clinicians have been using Health Information Technologies to address healthcare disparities in the clinical setting. Dr. Calman will discuss the challenges, successes and experience of the Institute for Family Health's utilization of HIT to address healthcare disparities in the clinical setting.
