As with any survey, questionnaires developed for online administration must contain valid and reliable questions that help surveyors meet their research objectives. Additionally, online surveys must conform to specific design considerations, be usable, accessible and technically sound. In this session we explore developing and designing questionnaires for online surveys.

At the end of this session attendees will be able to: (1) List three types of online survey questions; (2) Describe two principles of good design for online surveys; and (3) Explain one technique for improving the usability of online questionnaires.
