: 3:30 PM - 3:45 PM
The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research [NIDCR] is committed to public health research in oral health. In order to promote high quality behavioral research, NIDCR has established five critical areas for responsive behavioral/social intervention applications; theory/modeling, mechanisms of change, fidelity monitoring, feasibility/acceptability, and sustainability. NIDCR encourages researchers with expertise in these areas to join with oral health researchers in advancing behavioral and social science research. Priority research areas, aspects of writing successful applications and current funding opportunities for the Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Branch [BSSRB] and the Oral Health Disparities Program will be discussed.
