232380 Medicaid growth and impact of health reform on states Medicaid

The question is why Medicaid costs continue to increase? The main reason is that its spending growth is largely driven by enrollment and underlying medical care inflation. The one remaining area of focus would be the cost of dual eligibles. The second part of the talk will be on the impact of health reform on state Medicaid programs. There are large numbers of provisions in the law that will affect states, most of which will be implemented in 2014, but not all. Some of the most important provisions will be discussed.
