Permaculture is an ecology-based design science that seeks to create sustainable, resilient systems from a deep understanding of nature's patterns. The GrowHaus, a new urban agriculture center in north Denver's Elyria-Swansea neighborhood, is using permaculture thinking in a variety of ways to empower, educate, and provide food for local residents. The presentation will address the establishment, and growth of the GrowHaus center as well as the involvement of the com,munity.
