This session will focus on Self determination through supporting and positioning indigenous people with expert knowledge and skills not only of western society but are experts in traditional survival practices too. Through this means Native voices and skills will be available to deal with Hawaiian health and well being issues.

Sovereignty: governance, aina, spirituality; incorporation of traditional healers as equal partners in medical facilities with medical professionals; and non-violence peacemaking process are viable Hawaiian practices for the current times.
