This presentation will discuss policy areas that need to be addressed in order to make progress towards social justice. It will look specifically at the points of action needed in the United States to implement the World Health Organization goal of Achieving Health Equity in One Generation.

Identify the WHO approach to achieving health equity. Discuss the barriers to “Health in all policies” in the United States. List approaches to eliminating class, race/ethnicity and gender discrimination in U.S. social policy.
