Youth are an essential but often overlooked voice in alcohol prevention strategies. Involving youth and engaging them to lead implementation and evaluation of alcohol prevention and policy efforts has been shown to be effective in a wide variety of settings and communities. The Youth Leadership Institute has been an innovative leader in the field of youth development for over 20 years, working in many capacities—from advocating for national policy change, to organizing on a community level.
