234082 Active Communities Photovoice Project

The Active Communities Photovoice Project solicited youth from diverse areas of California and challenged them to assess their physical activity environments. Five California communities participated including Oakland, Fullerton, Santa Ana, Garberville and San Diego. Youth engaged in this project used their photos and words to describe the assets and challenges to being physical active in their communities. This session will present their findings as well as describe how the photovoice project was useful in developing youth leadership and advocacy.
