Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Linda C. Degutis, Dr.P.H., MSN, is the Director of CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). Most recently, Linda was Research Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, and Director of the Yale Center for Public Health Preparedness at the Yale School of Public Health. She is Past President of the American Public Health Association. Her expertise crosses a broad spectrum of public health and injury disciplines. Linda has published and lectured extensively and she is the principal investigator or co-investigator for grants on a wide range of topics, including alcohol interventions, public health preparedness, health workforce training, public health systems research, and interventions for opioid addiction.
