This presentation will discuss ways that states can fully maximize health care expansion and public health provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The presenter will describe what Maryland is doing and how states can replicate their work. Presentation will include the successful measures enacted before the federal bill such as a one dollar tobacco tax increase that significantly reduced smoking and helped fund health care coverage for over 2000,000 parents, children, and seniors
