The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148) provides opportunities and challenges to individuals working in public health education. This presentation conveys innovative strategies for the implementation of public health education programs funded in health care reform. In addition, innovative approaches to public health education that were funded by monies from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will be discussed. Finally, the presentation also provides tactics for advocacy for programs and monies
