A continuing challeng to goal achievement is the development of action plans that are congruent with advancing priorities. Too ofter, discussion stops with agreement about the current state of science and needed new directions. Just as important as a consuensus research agenda , is specifying strategies for promoting its integration into supporting frameworks--funding, education, and collaborative reserch programming. this presentation will address integration strategies and barriers spcific to the cost, quality, or outcomes of population-focused public health nursing interventions, respectively. Steps that individuals can take to promote such integration will be discusse.

Describe strategies for overcoming barriers to researching population outcomes from those that can guide quality assurance related to safety and quality or practice. Discuss at least 2 steps for enlisting financial support for components of the research agenda on public health practice safety and quality.
