Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the Administrator of Oregon's Environmental Public Health Office, where I lead that State's engagement in dealing with the public health aspects of climate change. For example, we are working with local public health authorities, State natural resource agencies and academia to identify local and statewide gaps that leave Oregonians' health vulnerable to successful climate change adaptation, in order to recommend strategic priorities to the 2011 Oregon Legislature. Part of that work also includes finalizing pertinent public health indicators, determining relevant data sources and credibly communicating public health messages to policymakers, the media and public.
